Quit Telangana pledge

Dear Telanganites,

We entered in to vital phase in the movement, let us forget all the
diffrences. join the hands and fight for telangana.

on January 26, 1930 entire India had taken a pledge for Purna
swarajyam. Similarly on this auspicious day aug 9 (quit India
movement was started more than 12,000 were martyred) let us have a
pledge not to support the andhra goverment in all aspects.

Here is the pledge.

We believe that it is the malleable right of the Telangana people as
of any other people, to have freedom and to enjoy the fruits of
their toil and have the necessities of life, so that they may have
full opportunities of growth. We believe also that if any government
deprives a people of these rights and oppress them, the people have
a further right to alter it or to abolish it. The Andhra government
in Telangana has not only deprived the Telanganites of their freedom
but has based itself on the exploitation of the masses, and has
ruined Telangana economically, politically, culturally and socially.
We believe therefore that Telangana must sever the Andhra
connections and attain Swarasthra or Independent state with in
Indian union.

We hold it to be a crime against man and god to submit any longer to
a rule that has caused this fourfold disaster to our region. We
recognize, however, that the most effective way of gaining our
freedom is not through violence. We will therefore prepare ourselves
by withdrawing, so far as we can, all voluntary association from the
Andhra government, and will prepare for civil disobedience,
including boycotting Andhra cinemas, hotels, and products and so on.
We are convinced that if we can but with draw our voluntary help and
stop buying all Andhra products with out doing violence, even under
provocation, the end of this unhuman rule is assured. We therefore
hereby solemnly resolve to carry the movement further for the
purpose of establishing Swarasthra.

Dear Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy garu:
Telangana Development Forum, USA is an organization of Telangana NRIs and US citizens of Telangana Origin, requests you to review and re-consider your Government’s stand on the following matters and do the needful to help people of Telangana.

1. Implementation of G.O. 610 and addressing the employment inequities: As you know full well, as a democratically elected government in a Republic, the responsibility to implement government orders rests with your office. Any lax in implementation of the G.O.610 to its fullest extents will be viewed further reflect on the government attitude toward Telangana. It is our understanding that the successive administrations from the State leadership have consistently failed Telangana people and their aspirations, in securing employment within the established framework as per the Government Order.

2. Stop below listed unjust projects and their implementation policies.

a) Pothireddypadu: Rayalaseema is backward and needs irrigation waters. But diverting equally backward Telangana share of waters is robbing Peter to pay Paul. History will not forgive you if you complete this project against all protests of Telangana and make provisions for Krishna waters share of Telangana to be diverted to Rayalaseema illegally, even though there is no flood waters- the pretext of your administration for building Pothireddypadu head regulator of massive proportions.

b) Pulichintala: Pulichintala is another project being built on the pretext of utilizing waters currently going into the sea. But it gives an excuse for the corrupt officials and future administrations to divert Nagarjunasagar waters under one pretext or other and divert the rightful share of Telangana districts.
c) Indirasagar / Polavaram: Immersing 290 plus Telangana villages, and subjecting the state to massive debt, with irreparable and irreversible damage to environment and the way of life of many tribes, to benefit the coastal region which is already well off. Telangana region has been neglected by not building sensible projects, and the Telangana farmers are forced to depend on unsustainable bore wells and the high cost of electric power. We urge you to stop Polavaram and look for alternate plans.
3. IIT relocation: You are setting a bad precedence by over riding the decisions of earlier assembly resolutions and locating IIT to Medak instead of Basara under the pretext of infrastructure accessibility. Your actions are divisive and ill intentioned with a view to divide and rule among the Telangana districts. Please reverse your decision and locate IIT at Basara per previous legislative decisions.
4. Telangana University in Nizamabd: While you made a political decision to establish the Telangana University, to appear fair to justify the Universities in Rayalaseema area and Andhra area, it simply appears to be ploy as you have not funded them equally and not exercised your leadership to ensure equal pace of construction and development of all three Universities. We request that you order a review, compare all three universities’ funding and progress and do the needed to expedite those that are lagging.
5. JNTU: Please review the assignment of the engineering school from Telangana region to JNTU and open it for statewide admissions while assigning the Andhra area engineering school to Andhra University so only its region’s people will gain access to them. This appears to be a naked exploitation of Telangana under some technicality and your Govt. letting this happen is a shame.
6. Imbalance in regional development: you are concentrating all development of infrastructure and funding in and around Hyderabad, Vizag and Vijayawada, while depriving the district centers. Thus creating congestion, land mafias, pollution and security issues, to these super cities while depriving the populations of the districts their due share. Please reconsider your mal-distribution of development resources. Share the wealth and opportunities to towns and villages.
7. Telangana Statehood: We urge you to honor the wishes of people of Telangana for restoration of the region to statehood. We in TDF, after serious considerations, did come to the conclusion that sustained development of Telangana with utilization of its resources in just manner is only possible under its own statehood. We therefore urge you to stop impeding the statehood demand and show your statesmanship by introducing a bill in AP assembly asking the center to restore Telangana to its own statehood, expeditiously, so the process can take place fairly without dividing the people and resulting in violence. It is your moral responsibility per your election promises.
Telangana State is an idea whose time has come and no armies can stop it anymore.
As late PM Nehru said, the innocent girl, Telangana, is tired of exploitation and can’t take this forced marriage to her neighbors and wants a divorce. It is your duty to honor her wishes, as promised by your own party leader, Panditji.
8. Power generation: Telangana coal is transported to Vijayawada and other areas and depriving and making Telangana dependent on other regions for power for its agriculture.
No fair minded leader will do such mal-development. Only a partial leadership with innate desire to subjugate the population of a region will do such unjust development. Please review and reconsider your power generation capacity plans and do justice to Telangana. Don’t enslave them for ages on other regions.

Six-Point Formula

Statement Issued By the Leaders of Andhra Pradesh on 21^st Sept.1973

We have had several discussions with central leaders as well as amongst ourselves on the problems facing the people of Andhra Pradesh. We are satisfied that the present misgivings about the future of the state can be completely removed on action being taken in accordance with following principles.

1)Accelerated development of the backward areas of the state and planned development of the state capital with specific resources earmarked for these purposes and appropriate association of Representatives of such backward areas in the Legislature along with other experts in the formulation and monitoring of development schemes for such areas should form the essential part of the development strategy of the state. Constitution at the state level of a Planning board as well as Sub- Committees for different backward areas should be the appropriate instrument for achieving this objective.

2)Institution of uniform arrangements throughout the stste enabling adequate preference being given to local candidates in the matter of admission to educational institutions and establishment of a Central University at Hyderabad to augment the existing educational facilities, should be the basis of the educational policy of the state.

3) Subject to the requirement of the state as a whole, local candidates should be given preference to specified extent in the matter of direct recruitment to (a) non-gazetted posts ( other than in the Secretariat,offices of HODs, State level Offices,and institutions and the Hyderabad City Police ) (b) corresponding posts under the local bodies (c) the posts of Tahsildar, Junior Engineers,and Civil Assistant Surgeons. In order to improve their promotion prospects, service cadres should be organized to the extent possible on appropriate local basis up to specified gazetted level, first or second, as may be administratively convenient.

4) A high power administrative Tribunal should be constituted to deaal with the grievances of services regarding appointments, seniority, promotion and other allied matters. The decisions of theTribunal should ordinarily be binding on the state government, The constitution of such a Tribunal would justify limits on recourse to judiciary in such matters.

5) In order that implementation of measures based on the above principles does not give rise to litigations and consequent uncertainty, the Constitution should be suitably amended to the extent necessary, conferring on the President enabling Powers in this behalf.

6) The above approach would render the continuance of Mulki Rules and Regionasl Committee unnecessary.

Gentlemen’s Agreement, 1956

1. There will be one legislature for the whole of Andhra Pradesh which will be the sole law making body for the entire state and there be one Governor for the State aided and advised by the Council of Ministers responsible to the State Assembly for the entire field of Administration.
2. For the more convenient transaction of the business of Government with regard to some specified matters the Telangana area will be treated as one region.
3. For the Telangana region there will be a Regional Standing Committee of the state assembly consisting of the members of the State Assembly belonging to that region including the Ministers from that region but not including the Chief Minister.
4. Legislation relating to specified matters will be referred to the Regional committee. In respect of specified matters proposals may also be made by the Regional Committee to the State Government for legislation or with regard to the question of general policy not involving any financial commitments other than expenditure of a routine and incidental character.
5. The advice tendered by the Regional Committee will normally be accepted by the Government and the State Legislature. In case of difference of opinion, reference will be made to the Governor whose decision will be binding.
6. The Regional Committee will deal with following matters:

• --Development and economic planning within the framework of the general development plans formulated by the State Legislature.
• --Local Self Government, that is to say, the Constitutional powers of Municipal Corporations, Improvement Trusts, District Boards and district authorities for the purpose of Local Self Government or Village Administation.
• Public health and sanitation, local hospitals and dispensaries.
• Primary and secondary education.
• Regulation of admission to the educational institutions in the telangana region.
• Prohibition
• Sale of agricultural lands.
• Cottage and small scale Industries, and
• Agriculture, Cooperative Societies, Markets and Fairs. Unless revised by agreement earlier this arrangement will be reviewed after ten years.

7. Domicile Rules : A temporary provision be made to ensure that for a period of five years, Telangana is regarded as a unit as far as recruitment to subordinate services in the is concerned; posts borne on the cadre of these services may be reserved for being filled up by persons who satisfy the domicile conditions as prescribed under the existing Hyderabad Mulki Rules. ( 12 years of Stay in Telangana area)
8. Distribution of expenditure between Telangana and Andhra Regions--- Allocation of expenditure with the resources of the state is a matter which falls within the purview of the State Government and the State Legislature.. Since , however, it has been agreed to the representatives of Andhra and Telangana that the expenditure of the new state on central and general administration should be borne proportionately by the two regions and the balance of income should be reserved for expenditure on the development of Telangana area, it is open to the state government to act in accordance with the terms of agreement in making budgetary allocations. The Government of India propose to invite the attention of the Chief Ministrer of Andhra to this particular understanding and to express the hope that it will be implemented.
9. The existing educational facilities including Technical Education in Telangana should be secured to the students of Telangana and further improved---
10. The cabinet will consist of members in proportion of 60:40 percent for Andhra and telangana respectively, out of 40 % of Telangana ministers, one will be a Muslim from Telangana. If the Chief Minister is from one region the other region should be given Dy Chief Ministership.

Fighting for identity

Many questions are rationally answered here. I was ignorant of the history of telangana, untill I had a chance to read a book on it. My blood started boiling when I see the statistics of how telangana has been cheated in budjet allocations in Health, Education, Infrastructure Irrigation and many other fields. Leave that aside, think about protecting our own identity. Telangana had a wonderful culture, self sustaining villeges, which slowly started vanishing. Telangana has an accent of Telugu like so many other areas have. That's being mimicked in the movies. Telangana has produced great poets like Dasharadi, C.Narayan Reddy and many more. We have a distinct style to write, and a distinct style to speak. Let's protect them, do not feel inferior. let's have our self-respect back.
Telangana was never directly ruled by the British. Our fight was against atrocities of Nizam. Many valient stories of heros can be heard in the Villeges, who lost their lifes in the struggle for freedom. How many text books speak of them? How many statues were errected on Tank bund? Let's have our history back!!

We all know the way farmers in Telangana are suffering. Governments have changed but not the number of suicides. The only way these suicides are reported in our media are as Obituaries & statistics, even if they are covered they are handful. Not many have done exclusives on these issues or have been addressed.

A correspondent Chad Heeter from PBS did an exclusive few years back. Many of you have already seen it, but here's for those who haven't yet. i don't know if we should thank Chad Heeter for reporting this or be shameful to our media who who don't (& are never tired of their Movie Mania!).

Politics of New States Formation: A Case of Telangana State Demand

Thanks to Dr.B.R.Ambedkar, the Constitution of India has a provision, under Article 3, to create any new state or alter the boundaries of any existing state or states. The Constitution that recognized plural character of Indian society has obviously facilitated the creation of more than one dozen new states, in the last 50 years. Interestingly, none of these 14 states was created with the recommendation of any so-called States Reorganisation Committee (SRC). Incidentally, the first and last of such SRC was headed by Justice Fazal Ali who was on record opposing merger of Telangana state (erstwhile state of Hyderabad) with the newly created Andhra state (from Madras state). In fact, the passage of Bill in the Parliament under this article (3) is sufficient to create any state, irrespective of the opinion (leave alone consensus) of concerned parent state, as is demanded by the antagonists of new state formation today! In a way, this attitude tantamounts to an act of playing politics with the issue of new state formation.

Historical Justification

Historically, the separate identity of telangana people and area, as part of the princely state of Hyderabad, was established during the course of more than four centuries-old history and culture, under the regime of Nizams. Incidentally, the Hyderabad state continued to enjoy independence from the British, thanks to Nizam, not just up to August 15, 1947, but beyond, at least till September 17, 1948, when Indian armies having entered Hyderabad compelled the Nizam to surrender. The Hyderabad state lost its independence once for all, and it became one of Indias several provinces. The multi-lingual Hyderabad state continued as one for four more years thereafter, till it was trifurcated, against the will of local people, and merged each part with a distinct area, all in the name of linguistic states regorgaisation! Thus, the telugu-speaking telangana was merged with Andhra state in 1956, on the basis of a promise that guaranteed certain safeguards to Telangana populace.

Not a Smaller State, but a new state of bigger size

Unlike the case of smaller states’ movement in India, the movement was not about ‘administrative convenience’ through ‘reducing the size of Andhra Pradesh’. It is ridiculous to treat Telangana issue as the issue of ‘size’ or ‘administration’ of the region, as is diplomatically raised by the parties and groups like BJP and RSS. As a matter of fact, once the demand is conceded, the Telangana would be bigger state than those existing 16 states in India today! With a population of more than one and half times of that of Nepal, the Telangana state would be of 3.5 crore size. Unlike other three states, which were created by the BJP in the year 2000, the state of Telangana does not require any special money for the construction of its state capital city, as the centuries-old Hyderabad is located in the heart of Telangana itself!

Not about Regional Development, but about Identity of people

Nor is it about ‘regional development’ of ‘backward Telangana’. But it is about state response to the most democratic demand of creation of new state. In any case, it is ridiculous to view Telangana state demand as demand for either ‘welfare’ or ‘development’, be it regionally or economically, as is propagated by the present chief minister. Because, once such argument is promoted, then there are electoral communists ready to join the chorus of raising the question of ‘backward regions’ and demand to treat Telangana on par with those backward regions of the state viz., Rayalaseema, Uttarandhra etc. Then they would be generously seeking the ‘packages’ ‘development funds’ from the central government and thereby confuse the genuine demand of Telangana state once for all. In other words, Telangana is a very distinct and unique case. In case of comparison, it could be either Kashmir or Junagarh; both were once princely states in India. Prior to these states were made part of India, these states were given the promise of holding ‘plebiscite’, indeed!

Not about Division of a State, but for Revival of an old state

In fact, the case of Telangana is more a revival of an old state, than a creation of a new state! Telangana, as part of erstwhile state of Hyderabad, existed as an independent state during the period 1952-56. The state was trifurcated in the name of ‘linguistic reorganisation of states’, only to please those Andhra congress lobbyists who were divided on common capital for Andhra state. The Telugu-speaking Telangana state was merged with the Andhra state, against the feelings of Telangana people, their representatives and also against the recommendations of Justice Fazal Ali, who chaired the first and last ‘States Reorganisation Committee’, popularly known as SRC. As usual, the electoral communists played the dubious role of ‘class collaboration in the name of linguistic unity’.

Against the recommendation of the SRC

Notwithstanding its sanctity and popular support, the six-point promise alone was the basis for state formation. There was no referendum of telangana people, nor was there any recommendation of the SRC (which recommended against merger of Telangana with Andhra state, indeed!) to that effect. Even the Hyderabad State Assembly was divided on the hasty decision. Surprisingly, Prime Minister Nehru’s views on the need of continuation of Telangana reflect the feeling of the then Central government. But still, the state was formalized on war footing and thereby suppressed the sentiments of local people. As against the promise of incorporating the word, telangana, in the new state of Telugu-speaking people, Andhra Pradesh came into existence.

Congressmen agreement that was violated long ago

Then, what precipitated the illegal action of hasty merger was the imposition of Andhra Congress leaders’ viewpoint in the form of ‘Gentlemen agreement’, an historical blunder that was never respected either in letter or in spirit. Who were these gentlemen? Which party they belonged to, by and large? It is those congress leaders who were under the control of Congress coterie that played a dubious role so as to bulldoze the Telangana leaders. Since the Congress party members largely represented the ‘gentlemen agreement’ (it was more a congressmen agreement indeed!), then that party alone has to own the responsibility. Besides, the formation of the state was contractual and conditional (as it was subject to the six-point formula/gentlemen agreement), and its very violation on the very first day can be understood as negating the state formation itself!

Thus, it is pertinent here to recollect the violation of this undemocratic agreement by the first chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Neelam Sanjeeva reddy ridiculing the post of Deputy Chief ministership as sixth finger and thus useless! While he served as Deputy Chief Minister in the B.Gopal reddy’s regime till October 31, 1956, the post became ridiculous to him by November 1, 1956! It was one of the six-point formulas that were violated on the very first day of formation of Andhra Pradesh. How can the contract be continued if one of its conditions were violated? Does it not tantamount to one-sided contract? It is regrettable to note that such one-sided contract had been imposed on Telangana for that past five decades, thanks to its leaders’ stony silence.

Unparallel Student sacrifices kept the movement alive

Obviously, there were movements and agitations against such political merger and suppression of telangana identity long before the emergence of Jai Telangana movement in 1969! But, thanks to monopolistic control over states and provinces by the congress on the one hand, and success of heroic Telangana armed struggle on the other had, the separate telangana movement was never given due attention during the period. However, the accumulated anger against the discriminatory policies of the Andhra-dominated governments had at last culminated in the form of 1969 agitation that cost the lives of more than 370 students in Telangana alone!

Historic mandate upheld the democratic demand

A predominantly student-organised Telangana Praja Samithi (TPS) became popular throughout the region and thereby secured the electoral support in the Loksabha elections held in 1971 itself. For, this movement-turned party, TPS secured the popular mandate in terms of winning 11 Loksabha seats (out of 14 seats), swimming across all the currents against both the Congress and the Communists, from the Telangana region. The TPS victory was preceded by the unparallel sacrifice of students and youths of Telangana in terms of year-long agitations throughout the Telangana region. Obviously, not only the congress men but also the heroic communists lost confidence of the people, and thus failed to win any significant number of seats in the 1971 elections held in Telangana areas!

Undemocratic Response of the Central government

Incidentally, it was Indira Gandhi who faced the challenges of this movement, but failed to manipulate it. Although she ensured coercive suppression of Telangana movement in 1969-70, she could not contain the democratic aspirations of the people electorally. Failed to respond to such electoral upheaval in a peaceful manner, she had to resort to anti-democratic and unethical means, only to betray the democratic spirit of that movement. Of course, the leaders and followers of the movement failed to withstand the pressure tactics of the Indira Gandhi government. Thus, the TPS leadership had to yield to the pressures and favours of the Prime Minister disgracefully, in terms of surrendering all the TPS’s MPs to Indira Gandhi for few crumbs.

At a time when Indira Gandhi was emerging as the only popular leader in the wake of Bangladesh war in 1971, none could dare, leave alone attempt, taking on her leader ship, from within or without, the congress party. Having established her supremacy even in the electoral battle held around same time, Indira Gandhi became a virtual dictator. Given the changed times, the telangana movement got derailed and leaderless. Although some alternative noises were raised against the leadership betrayal in telangana, Indira Gandhi was never convinced on the issue of statehood for telangana!

Recent movement of parties and politicians

Although the movement has always been a democratic one, as the popular mandate was recorded whenever there was one (as was demonstrated even in the 2004 elections!), the Central government played a dubious role. It offered a couple of unpopular packages in the form of five, six and eight-point formulae and such agreements, but seldom solved the genuine demand of telangana people. As the so-called gentlemen agreement was offered as a condition for Telangana merger to dilute the popular aspirations of the people earlier, there were a few such attempts (Presidential speech, Pranab Mukherjee committee etc.,) to co-opt the telangana politicians into the positions of power either at the Center or in the state thereafter (offering ministerial positions to the TRS leaders!), and thereby weakening the Telangana movement once for all.

However, the movement raised the banner of revolt not only against the Congress governments both in Hyderabad and Delhi but also to seek resignations of TRS ministers from the alliance ministries. This changed course of political relations marked an end of short-lived honeymoon between the Congress and the TRS once for all. Thus, the saga of Telangana struggles continues unabated, and on end! It is immaterial if the movement is led by TRS today or any other party tomorrow, for that matter. Ultimately, democratic component of the Telangana demand might keep the movement alive, notwithstanding the politics of telangana politicians.

educated politicians like Dr, Chinna Reddy. All of u knows how he
changed the tongue for ministerial Gaddi. He was the TRCC chief once,
later for ministerail post, he supported unified Andhra. Other
biggest mistake he was doing by supporting the PothyReddy Padu
issue. He written a wonderful artcile in andhrajyothy.

Here are few questions I would like to ask him.

1) What is the basic share of the Palamooru and Nalgonda in the
Krishna river waters. And what about Gadwal and Wanaparthy regions,
those are very near to the Krishna river. How could u justify
Flurosis problem in Nalgonda without drinking water.

2) Why SLBC tunnel share was reduced from 60,000 cusecs to mere 4000
cusecs. How colud u justify taking the water to 550Km from krishna
river through Telugu Ganga. Giving a water to Chennai is justified.
But How could u justify other projects built in Rayala seema on the
basis of krishna river waters. Why the net project capacity of
Priyadarshini and Jurala was reduced drastically?

3) Dear doctor it doesnt require too much logics mere common sense is
more than approporiate. How could u ignore the basic right of the
krishna river basin people lying with in 50 Km from the river?

4) Every body is saying it is not possible to built a Matthadi (Alugu)
at a height of 880 feets.

I will show u more than 500 projects are existing around the world,
Hovver dam is a typical example for that.

And one more biggest advantage is to produce the electricity by using
the gravity force from such a height.

5)How u will justify changing the river course by constructing a
major canal (like sub river)pothyreddypadu? It is like changing the
ccomplete river course existing for the past few million years.
Do u know the ecological affects due and environmental impact
existing?

6) River krishna in Nallamalla forest is in the borders of MBNR and
Kurnool, and PothyReddy Padu is on the other side of the river bank
i.e. in Kurnool district. What kind of guarantee u will give, whether
they use only surplus water. What kind of mechanism exist to measure
the quantity? who is going to be the monitoring authority?

Dear chinna Reddy CWC (central water commission) is not a regulating
authority. Sharing of river waters is not a central subject.

Go and see the CWC website for their functions and duties. They dont
hold any kind of responsibility. State goverment is responsible to
distribute the water with in the state. Even tribunal doesnt
interfere. So will u go and stop the SPY Reddy and YSR if they lift
the gates prematurely by taking net water, instead of surplus water.

If some body is having Chinna Reddy Mail ID please do forward this
mail, even I am ready to face the discussions with all the facts and
figures.

Once he coommented YSR as a Simon, later he justified that Simon is
not Saithan. But as I know, the fact is Simon supported the General
Dyer in later investigation procedings.(Who killed more than 2000
people in Jallian wala bagh). Irrespective of region and religion all
the laeders of India protested Simon commission calling him as a
devil. If u want the facts go and study any Indian movement history
book. Hence YSR is a Simon alias saithan of the Telangana region.

Andhra friends pose funny questions regarding Hyderabad

Dear Telanganites,

Some of our andhra friends pose very funny questions regarding
hyderabad by reading some news in media. We should know how to give a
fit reply to those questions.

Here are few questions and answers.

All of us came to hyderabad and developed it, as it is the capital?
Otherwise we would have settled in guntur, Kurnool, Tirupati etc,..

Let them make clear that being a political capital is not the
criteria for economical development.
Even though New Delhi was made as the capital still Indias economical
capital city is Mumbai. Similarly Kanpur more developed than Lucknow,
Gandhi nagar more developed than Ahmedabad and Baroda, Kochhi more
developed than Thiruvanthapuram if he goes there are so many examples
we will get throughout the world.

Whatever the cities developed after the independent India are already
developed before. Hyderbad has got the inherent capability to develop
as major metropolitain before 1956.

So many people dont know that Once Hyderabad was the land of lakes,
more than 200 lakes around the city providing the fresh drinking
water.
I will give the list of the things before 1956..

1) Well connected underground drainage system designed by Great
Viswesarayya, begumpet airport.
2)Railway system already developed in Nizams period no more railway
lines are added except nadikudu to connect to Guntur.
3)World famous Osmania and Gandhi hospitals
4)Assemble hall, high court, Jubilee hall, even the secretariat,
osmania university, King koti hospital, Niloufer and so many
weredeveloped before 1956.
5) Non profit educational institutions like VV College, Jambagh,
Reddy womens college, Vanitha, Kapadia, Keys, Wesley, St. patrick so
many developed before 1956.
6) Hyderabad was known for its pearls, jewelleries, biryani what
andhraites are added.

So there is no logic in arguing that point,it might be true YSR,
Chandra babu have come to hyderabad but what they are political
leaders. Even every MP and minister will go and reside in delhi that
means delhi belongs Tamil or other people.

We developed industrially hyderabad, we provided so many jobs to
localites?
Let us see this point..
There were so many spin mills, craft industries, paper making mills
before 1956 so many parsis, sindhis and Gujaratis developed their
industries in hyderbad.

To get away from the competition in andhra region few industrialist
came to hyderbad, but where they taken the loans, on what rate they
got the cheap lands, who bears their pollution? all these things are
matter to local people. what about Patancheru, Bollaram who bears
that pollution?

Great Dr. Reddy steals patents from IDPL, similarly we know the story
of satyam (actually his father chetaed local people in medchal and
ran away to coastha).
Where these people got the money? they got the loans from APSFC
(Andhra pradesh state financial corporation).
One more small business pronciple I want to say here..

Businessman wont have sentiments and affections he will choose his
location based on the profit. All the pharma firms are right now
going to Uttaranchal and what about the SEZ in Vizag?

If investment is the question they raise, how much investment they
put here in which. Realestate doesnt considered to be an industry.

Regarding the goverment companies, we will ask why govt has spent
more than 20,000 crores on vizag steel plant in 1978, Hindusthan zinc,
Vizag port, BHPV, kakinada port, Goadavari fertlisers why public
money was spent why they wont be union territories?

Regarding IT eventhough Pune is not a capital city even though IT was
developed.

3)Infrastructure like over bridges, big roads, stadiums are
developed.
There is a central ministry called Urban development they allot the
funds to all the cities based on population and economic importance.
more than lucknow, kanpur has got more funds, even Vizag, Vijayawada
got the funds and they have developed infrastructure.
we are not questioning them?
Gachhibowli stadium got the funds as national games were held, state
govt didnt spend single paisa.
Where state goverment is having the funds?

Over bridges and roads are developed with MCH budget not by the state
goverment, u know where MCH gets the funds, through advertisements
boards, leasing the shops, property tax, octroi and so on.
state govt given just 5 crores to hyderabad, 4 crores to Vizag,
and three crores to Vijayawada.

What about the sentiments and feelings of the other region people?

See in mumbai marathis are in minority, similarly kannadigas in
bangalore so where the problem comes. In 1960 when Gujarath was
seperated from Bombay state they never asked for bomabay even though
they developed it.

Finally one more funny questionthey raise is..

Chandigarh is the unionterritory and capital of Haryana and Punjab
why cant hyderbad?
Chandigarh is in the border of both haryana and Punjab where as
Hyderabad is in middle of telangana.

More over chandigarh was developed as planned city by goverment of
India not like hyderbad it doesnt have previous history of 400 years.

Upcoming projects like International airport, ringroad. All these are
not funded by the state goverment, public and private partnership.
That means GMR(Andhra company) will construct the airport they will
charge flight landing charges,parking charges and so on for twenty
years till they get their profits back later they hand over it too
the goverment. so where is the question of public spending.
Similar case with the outer ring road.

dear Sirs, This andhra media is so slever that they have given the
picture to out side world that they developed hyderbad, the real
story is they built their Jubilee hills, banjara and Kukatpally on
the graveyards of telanganites.

and one more final question by supplying drinking water from singur
more than two lakh hectares are dprived irrigation water,
u know the story of patancheru and Bollaram. and what about the
musi river pollution more than 200 villages are affected who bears
that cost.

We will explain all these things if they dont listen..

only one say we have..

Cheating 2-SRC

Dear Telanganites,

It is the time to expose the crooked politics of Raja Sekhar Reddy and
Congress&Co for the delaying tactics in the formation of Telangana
state. It is required to strongly condemn the acts of the state and
central governments and bring pressure, not to appoint any new SRC.

A few steps initially to be taken in this regard at the state level
like:

1. List of all the MLAs who signed a memorandam appealing for the
second SRC should be prepared and exposed to all the Telanganites.

2.People of their respective constituencys should know that these
leaders are not acting in the interest of Telangana and so should
never be elected in future elections.

3.More SHAVA YATRAS are to be conducted in every constituency and
houses of these leaders are to be surrounded and Gheraod.

4.Dhoom Dhaam Public meetings are to be conducted in every
constituency.

5.Initially BANDH should be observed in Hyderabad and Rangareddy
districts and later in other districts of telangana in support of
early formation of Telangana state

6. As suggested by most of our friends, all types of products and
services of Andhra, including movies have to be boycotted in all our
districts

7.Educating our people is more important about all these issues and
politics of Seema and Andhra leaders, because our people are more
innocent and they still beleive in the cunning politics of Congress
and like minded parties.

8. Realtors of Telangana, who are Anti-Telangana are to be brought to
the roads, because this is the main coterie which is playing a major
role in weakening the movement.

9. Telangana supporing leaders from all parties are to be brought on
to the same dias and more meetings are to be conducted and presure
need to be build up on these leaders to come out with opinions on the
formation of state Telangana and

10. All groups of people from all age groups, all organisations, all
Elite, all castes and religions, all unions are to be brought under
one banner with a single point formula early FORMATION OF TELANGANA.

We are taking this opportunity to explain our recent activity
(Ralley and Burning pictures of Satyasai baba by telangana
students)

Sorry if someone hurts by our activity....
In a democratic country we have the right to protest(which is
lawful) on any incident or decision when it really "hurts our
feelings" or aginst to our "right of freedom" .

This is called "freedom of speech".

Personally I have a great respect on Satya Sai and on his service
activities.Though people and media say he is involved in many
scandals like sex and child abusing and many other stories, I
respect him and his good works.

Friends ! The Hindu scriptures(The Upanishads and Vedas) say that
there is no 100% absolute truth(even if it exists, u never spek
about it). Similarly there is no 100% pure man even he is a holy
man, great man, or God man...............

So I feel whatever Satya sai says is need not not to be always
correct.Why dont we ( his sympathisers)think that The God might be
sending signals to Satya Sai that he may be wrong in Telangana
aspect.

We cant help if people think "he is always corret and he knows
everything"..........

Asking freedom not at all a "Big Sin". Sai must know the "Big Sin "
of Andhra rulers, commanders and cpitalists which they have been
doing for 52 years.......

This is a fight on econmical and cultural exploitation . We want
freedom.......development is not at all a solution for "Self-respect"

So spiritual leaders !(Satya sai, china zeeyar, and sachidananda)
please..........think before u speak.......

We really respect you !!

Telangana Telugu or Andhra Telugu?

Dear members,

In one of the discussions (unfortunately I deleted it)
a member raised a concern about English replacing
Telangana Telugu (TT) or Andhra Telugu (AT) replacing
Telangana Telugu (TT) or something of that sort.
Although I do not see English as a possible
replacement, but I do see a good possibility of Andhra
Telugu (AT) replacing TT. The concerted moves by the
AP Government to structure the Telugu curricula in
schools on the lines of Andhra Telugu, hiring of
Telugu teachers from Andhra region, favoring AT for
news media and journals will definitely have an effect
on replacing TT. More importantly, use of AT in Telugu
movies will accelerate this process.

Every one of us should be proud of what we are, what
we have, and where we come from. TT is what we have
and we should all fight to retain and protect it.

The argument that AT is better than TT has no
substance. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Make no mistake that AT is a dialect. It is a
derivative of the Dravidian language known as Andhram.
Today’s AT is a mixer of Sanskrit and Tamil words.

TT is also a dialect. It is a mixer of Sanskrit,
Persian, Urdu, Hindi and Marathi words. Tabaadla,
Nimaaish, Damaagh and Pareshaani, are all urdu words.
Kaakayya, Porgi, and Athiya are Marathi words. Kakayya
stands for uncle.

Hindi belt in India has many Hindi dialects. Hindi
spoken in Haryana, UP and MP differ in many ways with
Hindi spoken in Bihar. Haryana Hindi is heavily loaded
with Punjabi words. Biharis would like to call their
language as Brij Bhasha. Personally I find Brij Bhasha
very pleasing. The song, “Sawan ka mahina, pawan kare
sor…” is written in Brij Bhasha.

Therefore, AT and TT are two distinct dialects and
anyone suggesting that they are just one and the same
dialect is dead wrong. Telanganites may very well call
TT differently. You may call it a Telangana Bhasha or
Telangani (like Marathi) or Telani. I like a short and
sweet name. But it is too early to think of a name
now. We should leave that decision to the days
following the Statehood. For now, let's concentrate on
how best we can achieve the Statehood.

As for English, English is the backbone of Physical,
Biological and Medical sciences. Students from English
medium schools have done extremely well in these
studies. For this reason almost all affluent families
send their children to English medium schools. Sonia
Gandhi is one example. Manmohan Singh is another
example. Frankly if I were living in India, I will
send my children to English Medium Schools because
that’s where I went to.

So it is not wrong to stay that our villages should
have some English medium High Schools. If 40%
Telanganites prefer to send their children to English
medium Schools, then 40% Government High Schools
should be English Medium Schools. This does not mean
that TT will disappear. There will always be some
classes in TT.

I hope this sheds some light on the controversy.

Celebrating 75 years of their sinful existence

Hi,

After successful exploiting of this region and its people with their cunning tricks and political power the so-called Telugu film industry is celebrating its 75 years in our own region. The percentage of our people in the industry and in the celebration is almost nil. One or two persons on the whole of Telugu film industry is of no meaning to us and even those one or two have also sold their soul to Andhras.

Let’s give a call to all our members and to the entire Telangana region to boycott the Telugu film industry and its people.

If we don’t do this to these Andhra filmi-walas it is equal to = we ourselves laughing on the poverty stricken Lambada mothers selling their children, making fun of our poor women folk taking to prostitution for a piece of bread and making fun on the suicides of our poor farmers in our Telangana region.

If you guys think that what effect it will have on such a big Telugu film industry by just boycotting Andhra films, just look into history what a civil boycott can do. If you do not have patience and time, atleast watch "Gandhi" film which will tell you to some extent what a civil boycott can do.

So, it’s the duty of each and every person in Telangana to resolve now to boycott Andhra film industry and its people.

Analogy between Telangana movement and Indian Independance movement

Dear Telanganites,

IT appears to be amazing, but the truth is there appaers to be so
many similarities existing between the Telangana and Indian
Independance movement. Here are few........

Telangana movement first started againist the imperialistic policies
and resource exploitation by the other region people. Where as
independance movement started to get rid of the british imperialistic
policies. Britishers are used to import our raw materials and they
finish with their machines, and used to sell back to India, with that
so many traditional small industries were closed. Similarly
andhraites are using our coal, land and water as the inputs for their
industries on behalf of that they ruined traditional sugar, jute mill
and silk industries in our region.

Britishers are easily identifiable with their colour and language but
these people are difficult to distiniguish, they may be behind you
but you cant recognise. I dont want to mention the statistics here.

What happened to our traditional co-operative educational system, why
it is plundered by the corporate schools and colleges?
I dont want to mention the health system, goverment hospitals like
Gandhi, Osmania and so many others shrinked from the glorious past.

In the 1754 french and britishers approached in the guise of trade.
In the name of the language (Vishalandhra) andhra people apparoached
resource rich hyderabad state in 1956.

With lot of suspicion nawab allowed the britishers, the same thing
happened with the telangana leadership in 1956.

Nawabs has put some conditions for the trade in the form of dasthaks,
where we entered in to conditional agreement.

Slowly britishers made nawab as the puppet here also andhra CMs made
telangana ministers as their puppets.

By 1857 people are realised british imperialistic policies and they
fought, first war of independance with out proper planning and
coordination.

The same thing was reported in 1969 in telangana movement. MOre than
369 martyrs were killed brutally in police firings.

In both of the above wars and movements were seviourly suprressed by
the rulers.

Indpendance movement has also got the various breaks and phases,
similarly telangana movement also. Few intellectuals, writers,
singers have played their own role with out any self interest.
Similarly Telangana intellectuals also kept the issue alive in the
peoples mind.

As bankim chandra, Rabindra, Tilak has given the songs and slogans.

Gaddar, goreti venkanna, andhesri and so many others going in to the
souls of common people.

In the independance movement there are so many organisation actively
worked in and out side of India.... Gadar party of USA, East Indian
association in London, Madam Bhikaji Party in Germany,
anushilansamithi-bengal, Hindusthan socialistic republic army by
azad, INA by bose......
similarly we have TDF USA, TVV Hyderabad, Telangana Utsav committee,
TNGO, Telangana Teachers Union and so on.

Slowly our fight evolved non-violence form as it was in 1969. Joining
of the congress in to the british framed constitutional process by
forming the govts in 1937 can be compared as TRS joining the govt in
2004. By 1939 congress realised actual colour of britishers as TRS
realised in 2006.

So let us hope that movement entered in to the last phase as in
1942. Instead of quit India we should raise a slogan quit Telangana.

Quit telangana means quit from economical, political, social and
cultural oppression of the other region exploiters.
